Privacy Policyسياسة الخصوصية

This policy explains what BoomEdit collects, why, and how long we keep it.

What we collect

• Account: your email, your name (optional) and your password, stored only as a secure hash.
• Your files: the audio or video you upload, its transcript, your review choices and the videos we make.
• Payments: the amount, currency and status of each top up. The payment gateway handles your card; we never see or store card numbers.
• Technical data: your country (from your IP address, to show prices in your currency) and basic request logs.
• Site usage: the pages you open, the buttons you press (their names only, never what you type), the page that sent you, your approximate location (country, region, city) and device type. A random id in your browser tells us whether you came back; we keep a scrambled code of your IP address, never the address itself. We use this to understand what works and to improve BoomEdit.
• Waitlist: the name, email and note you send when you ask for an invite.

How we use it

To make your videos, run your account and credit, answer you, prevent abuse, and improve the service. We do not sell your data and we do not use your uploads to advertise.

Who processes it for us

We use service providers for cloud hosting and storage, network delivery, audio cleaning, transcription, scene planning and drawing, and payments. They process your data only to provide their part of the service. For Motivation and News, the words in your recording (never the audio or video) are sent to an external processor to choose footage. For Drawing, short descriptions of objects to draw, never your audio, video or full transcript, are sent to that processor. In selected code-drawn Premium styles, the words of each short part and preview frames are sent to the same processor to create and review that part. This processor has servers in China. Choose another style if you do not want this processing. Ask us for the current list of affected styles and processors.

How long we keep it

Uploads, transcripts and finished videos are deleted automatically 14 days after you create them (a processing cache of the cleaned audio and transcript is deleted after 30 days). Account and payment records stay while your account is open and as long as the law requires after that.

Cookies

One cookie keeps you signed in, and a random visitor id is kept in your browser storage. Your language, currency and level choices are saved in your browser. We use no advertising cookies.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion of your account and data. Email support@boomedit.com.

Children

BoomEdit is not for anyone under 16.
